Public Sector Change Management
Savill Consulting specialise in public sector Change Management. Project Managing an IT implementation and placing a new application on the desktop is one thing but changing the practice of an entire service and engaging practitioners effectively can be more challenging.
“Project Phase” to “Business as Usual”
To deliver effective change, practitioners need to know what “Business as Usual” will look and feel like when the project phase is complete. If they cannot envisage themselves using the new application then they will be tentative about engaging. It is crucial that any Change Management Strategy allows practitioners to see the benefits of using a new application, provides a comfortable learning environment suited to their individual needs but more importantly allays all of their fears about embracing a new and unfamiliar technology!
Project Recovery
All is not lost if a project has been unsuccessfully implemented. Tight deadlines mean that inevitably elements of a project can be rushed or skipped in a push to make an application live. Whilst managing change in a live environment is more challenging it is not impossible. By going “Back to Basics”, addressing all of the missed or rushed project areas, providing procedure, focus and encouragement our local government consultants believe that we can turn any project around!
